When California Highway Patrol arrived on scene, they discovered that a female pedestrian was struck by a passenger vehicle when she was walking south at the intersection outside of a marked crosswalk. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to check on the pedestrian.
Paramedics rushed the female pedestrian to Kern Medical with traumatic injuries. She was tragically pronounced deceased while there.
