Maison Law Mobility Training Course at Kaweah Health
Home » Maison Law Mobility Training Course at Kaweah Health
Maison Law and Kaweah Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Visalia have teamed together to provide the most comprehensive outdoor mobility area in Central California to facilitate the rehabilitation of patients recovering from major traumas and life changing disabilities.
The Maison Law Training Course is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in Summer 2024.
What is the Maison Law Mobility Training Course?
After recovering from a life-altering physical event such as a stroke, car accident, or other traumatic injury, a patient’s ability to return to community mobility is one of the largest obstacles to overcome.
Even after intensive physical therapy, recovering patients often do not leave their homes due to fear of tripping or slipping on hazardous terrains.
This outdoor community-mobility training course provides a space for patients at the Kaweah Health Rehabilitation Hospital to practice navigating difficult terrains often found in the community. This course will include practice areas for navigating:
- River Rock
- Gravel
- Brick Walkways
- Flagstone
- Pebbles
- Crushed Rock
- Turf
- Curbs
- Various ramps
By providing access to these textured walkways, patients will be able to practice traversing common hazards walking or in a wheelchair under the guidance of skilled medical professionals. This will allow them to gain confidence and skills as they continue to heal beyond the hospitals walls.
Ultimately, this practice will lead to more opportunities for patients to resume normal life.
Who Will the Maison Law Mobility Training Course Help?
Patients treated at the Kaweah Health Rehabilitation Hospital in both Inpatient Rehab and Outpatient Neurology will have access to this outdoor training course. Kaweah Health Rehabilitation treats patients who have suffered various types of physical trauma associated with:
- Strokes
- Traumatic Brain Injuries
- Spinal Chord Injuries
- Amputation
- Parkinson’s and Other Neurological Disorders
- Multi-Trauma Injuries
- Orthopedics
Maison Law’s Commitment to Community Health
Maison Law is dedicated to the health and well-being of the communities we serve. This commitment extends to the prevention, treatment, and recovery from accidents and injuries our community members suffer.
Prevention
Maison Law has been actively involved in the prevention of accidents throughout the state of California. We firmly believe that as leaders in the community, we have an obligation to care for the safety and well-being of those we serve. This starts with the prevention of accidents, in hopes that you will never need our legal services.
As such, we have gone to great lengths to promote bicycle safety, provide household resources to community members, participate in informational seminars, and advocate for safe roadway usage throughout the state.
We hold a special place in our hearts for the groups that are most impacted by preventable accidents. Those include:
- Cyclists
- Pedestrians
- Motorcyclists
- Senior Citizens
- Children
- Hispanic Community Members
We actively seek opportunities to provide assistance to those with the greatest needs, advocating for their rights before they need our help.
Treatment
When a crisis strikes, Maison Law provides unparalleled support and care. Martin Gasparian, as a father, husband, community member, and friend stands by those who are injured to give them the resources they need for immediate treatment.
This begins with a free consultation. While nearly all personal injury law firms offer “free consultations,” Martin and the other lawyers at Maison Law take the time to listen. They want to understand not only the facts of the case, but also how it has impacted a client’s life. With the full picture in mind, Maison Law can build a strong case for each client’s complete legal and financial recovery.
Beyond the legal realm, Maison Law is invested in getting proper treatment and care for each of their clients. The Maison Law Mobility Park is just one example of Maison Law’s dedication to their clients’ wellbeing.
In addition to this initiative, Maison Law helps connect their clients with the best possible treatment for their area and will even work with treatment providers to negotiate rates. All of this with the purpose of helping their fellow community members get the best treatment possible for their injuries without having to worry about the cost.
Recovery
While a settlement is incredibly important, it isn’t everything. There is still a long life to live after the settlement check is cashed. That is why Maison Law is working to form relationships with advocacy groups that focus on the health and wellbeing of clients as they continue to regain their lives.
While many patients make a full recovery and can resume life as normal, others need to adapt and create a new normal. This is only possible with the help of advocates within their community and support groups of others who have been through these injuries before.
