Driver Killed in Rollover Crash near SR-43, Ave 112 in Visalia

Visalia, CA – In the early hours of Friday, July 3, 2026, a single-vehicle rollover collision resulted in the death of a man, according to KSEE/KGPE, with additional reporting from CHP Fatal.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 3:00 AM on State Route 43 north of Avenue 112.

Authorities said the driver was traveling northbound in a Toyota pickup when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle veered off the roadway and overturned onto the shoulder.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle. He sustained major injuries and was transported to Kaweah Health Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

Tulare County Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene. Lanes were closed during the response for a period not expected to exceed 20 minutes.

No additional details regarding the identity of the deceased had been released at the time of reporting. Anyone with information is asked to contact the CHP Visalia Area office. The investigation remains ongoing.

Single-Vehicle Collisions

In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. California’s comparative negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, it may still be possible to receive partial compensation for damages through a wrongful death claim.
