Kernville, CA – On the evening of Sunday, December 14, 2025, Andrew Bill Mace, 60, of Bakersfield, lost his life after suffering fatal injuries in a single-vehicle crash, according to KGET.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 8:40 PM on North Burlando Road near Plater Road.

According to investigators, Mace was driving a vehicle that overturned and left the roadway for reasons that have not yet been determined. As a result of the crash, he sustained severe injuries. 

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and assessed the situation, but Mace was pronounced dead at the location.  The Kern County Coroner’s Office confirmed his identity.

Authorities have not released additional details regarding the events leading up to the rollover, including whether road conditions, speed, or other factors may have contributed. 

The California Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the collision to determine the cause and any contributing circumstances.
