Visalia, CA – On the evening of Monday, November 17, 2025, a two-vehicle collision resulted in one woman losing her life and left another driver with major injuries, according to KSEE.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 11:25 PM at Road 100 and Avenue 264.
Officers said a white BMW 328 was traveling south on Road 100 as a blue Jeep Compass approached the intersection on northbound Road 100. For reasons still under investigation, the BMW veered left and struck the left front side of the Jeep, causing the Jeep to spin onto the east dirt shoulder while the BMW came to rest in the southbound lane.
Authorities found the Jeep’s driver pinned inside the vehicle. Emergency crews freed her from the wreckage and transported her to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
A child secured in a car seat in the Jeep was also taken to the hospital but was found to be unharmed.
Investigators said the BMW’s driver exited her vehicle before it became engulfed in flames. She was transported to a hospital with major injuries to her legs.
The identities of those involved have not been released, and the crash remains under active investigation.
Ongoing Investigations
Victims of traffic accidents and their families should be aware that authorities may fail to note or even misinterpret critical evidence at a crash site. One of the services that a Personal Injury Attorney can provide is to pursue follow-up investigations, which can reveal additional evidence to correct any errors made by previous investigators.
Wrongful Death Claims & Comparative Negligence
Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility.
Should someone else be found even partly responsible for the death, the family may be able to file a Wrongful Death claim against the at-fault driver’s insurance. This can provide compensation to help cover medical bills, funeral expenses, and the loss of income to support the family of the deceased.
