Stanislaus County, CA – On the morning of Sunday, April 6, 2025, a single-vehicle motorcycle crash resulted in fatal injuries for Michael Becker, 41, of Escalon, according to The Modesto Bee.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the accident took place around 11:55 AM near Orange Blossom Road, near Orange Blossom Court, east of Oakdale.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Becker was riding a 2018 Triumph motorcycle eastbound on Orange Blossom Road when he approached a left-hand curve. CHP investigators say Becker struck an asphalt curb and then a fence, causing him to be ejected from the motorcycle and thrown near the south shoulder of the road. He was transported to Oak Valley Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Becker was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Authorities have not yet determined whether drugs or alcohol were factors. The investigation is ongoing.
Single-Vehicle Collisions
In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages.
