Bakersfield, CA – On the afternoon of Thursday, February 20, 2025, a rollover collision on Highway 99 resulted in injuries that required hospitalization, according to KBAK.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the accident took place around 3:30 PM near White Lane on the southbound side of the highway.

According to officials, a rollover involving multiple vehicles occurred when one vehicle lost control, causing it to flip and collide with other cars on the roadway. At least one individual was pinned inside a vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency responders, who transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. 

Witnesses described a chaotic scene as first responders worked quickly to provide medical assistance and secure the area. Although the identity of the injured person has not been released, family members have been notified of the situation.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident, and no factors such as speed, driver distraction, or mechanical failure have been confirmed at this time. The roadway was temporarily blocked to clear debris and allow investigators to gather evidence before reopening to traffic. 

CHP is urging drivers to exercise caution while traveling in the area.
