July 28, 2024, Fresno, CA: A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident early Sunday morning. According to information provided by Yahoo News, the collision took place early in the morning on First Street.
Fresno Police confirmed that a 50-year-old man was walking on First Street just south of Gettysburg Avenue when he was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping.
The man was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center with traumatic injuries. He tragically died while there.
Police are still looking at surveillance videos in the area to determine who struck the man and fled.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
