When California Highway Patrol officers arrived on scene, they discovered that a big rig and a Nissan vehicle collided with each other. A driver was traveling in the area in a big rig with a grapefruit trailer when the driver attempted to enter the highway. While doing so, they blocked one of the northbound lanes of Highway 41.
A driver was traveling north on the highway in a Nissan when they suddenly collided with the trailer of the truck. The driver of the truck remained on scene.
Paramedics and other local emergency responders were called to the scene. The driver of the Nissan was tragically pronounced dead on scene due to their injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
