Support for Victims of Bakersfield DUI Collisions
It can be difficult to prove liability in a car accident, even if a driver was possibly intoxicated at the time. Even when it was proven by police that intoxication was at play, the other party’s insurance company may still try to say that you also played a role in the accident to try and shift liability onto you.
To be successful in a car accident claim, you will have to show the following elements:
- A driver owed you a duty of care
- The driver breached that duty of care
- The breach in duty led to your accident
- Your accident caused injuries and other damages
Making a police report and receiving medical attention after an accident are some of the best steps that you can take to protect your rights later on. From there, it is crucial that you speak with an experienced attorney about your options.
