Fresno Police arrived on scene and discovered that a 43-year-old woman was allegedly crossing the street or walking alongside the road when she was struck by a passenger vehicle. The driver of the vehicle pulled over and remained on scene after the collision.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The 43-year-old female pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead on scene due to traumatic injuries. Nobody else sustained injuries in the collision.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time after the accident.
No further details have been released but Fresno Police continue their investigation into the collision at this time.
