When Visalia Police Department officials arrived on scene, they spoke with witnesses and found that a hit-and-run accident involving two vehicles occurred. Two vehicles collided at the intersection and the driver in a suspect vehicle fled the scene without stopping.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help. One person in the vehicle that remained on scene was injured. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment, though their exact condition is not known at this time.
Police were able to track down the suspect in the fleeing vehicle to their home. They were apprehended and it is suspected that they were under the influence at the time of the accident. Police did not confirm any charges at this time.
