Intersections are convenient areas where multiple streets meet in Fresno so that drivers can travel from one destination to another. However, they are also some of the most dangerous areas where nearly half of all accidents occur in the U.S. Especially for bicyclists who have very few protections aside from a helmet in most cases, an accident involving a passenger vehicle at an intersection could be injurious or deadly.
When a hit-and-run driver causes a bicycle accident and flees the scene, it could lead to devastating results. A bicyclist will not receive immediate medical attention, which could be a life-or-death scenario that unfolds quickly. If a hit-and-run driver is apprehended by police, they could face a wide array of charges depending on the circumstances of the accident.

Support to Victims Following a Fresno Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident
Moving forward after a pedestrian accident can be surprisingly difficult, especially when a hit-and-run driver is involved. In many cases, a hit-and-run driver might never be found, which leaves a bicyclist wondering how they will financially recover. A victim still has the opportunity to claim damages under uninsured motorist coverage. If the hit-and-run driver is apprehended by police, the victim can bring a claim against their insurance company.
Financial recovery is vital, as many bicyclists will spend a long time recovering in the hospital or will require medical attention from follow-up visits. On top of this, a lot of bicyclists will not be able to return to work right away, which can wreak havoc on their finances. This is why it is important that a victim considers speaking with a legal advocate about their options moving forward.
