Tulare County, CA – On the afternoon of Saturday, April 4, 2026, a head-on collision resulted in the death of a 21-year-old man and left another driver hospitalized with major injuries, according to ABC30.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 2:48 PM
Authorities said the 21-year-old was driving a black 2015 Ford Mustang eastbound on Avenue 384 when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle crossed over the double yellow lines into westbound traffic, colliding head-on with a white Ford pickup truck.
The driver of the Mustang was ejected from the vehicle upon impact. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 62-year-old man, sustained major injuries and was transported to Kaweah Medical Center for treatment.
Investigators have not determined whether drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the collision. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact the California Highway Patrol. The investigation remains ongoing.
