Fresno, CA – On the evening of Thursday, March 5, 2026, a four-vehicle collision left three people hospitalized, according to KSEE/KGPE.
The Fresno Police Department reports that the accident took place around 8:00 PM at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Tulare Street.
Authorities said four vehicles were involved in the collision, with three occupants sustaining injuries. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported all three injured parties to a local hospital, where they were listed in stable condition at the time of reporting.
The force of the crash knocked out the traffic signal at the intersection, prompting a response from PG&E and Fresno City Utilities. Crews were working to restore power to the signal, with restoration expected by 1:00 AM. Motorists were advised to use caution in the area in the meantime.
The cause of the collision has not been determined, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Personal Injury Claims & Comparative Negligence
Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility. Should evidence reveal that another party contributed to the injuries, victims may be eligible to file a Personal Injury Claim with the responsible party’s insurance, which can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.
