Bakersfield, CA – On the afternoon of Monday, November 17, 2025, a possible head-on collision left at least one person with major injuries, according to KBAK.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 2:30 PM at the 2000 block of South Union Avenue, near Watts Drive.

Authorities said the crash involved a white Dodge Charger and a white tow truck, though the exact manner of impact remains under investigation. Emergency crews found at least one individual with significant trauma consistent with a high-force collision and transported that person by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

The crash caused traffic disruptions in both directions, with at least one lane blocked while responders worked to secure the scene, assess injuries, and clear debris.

CHP stated that the cause of the collision is still unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.

Personal Injury Claims & Comparative Negligence

Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility. Should evidence reveal that another party contributed to the injuries, victims may be eligible to file a Personal Injury Claim with the responsible party’s insurance, which can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.
