The accident, according to Fresno Police Department officials, happened when a bicyclist was traveling in the area and they were struck by a dark-colored vehicle due to reasons that are still under investigation. The driver of the vehicle immediately fled the scene without stopping to check on the cyclist.
Paramedics arrived on scene, where they discovered that the bicyclist had multiple injuries. The victim, identified as a man in his 30s, was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment of critical injuries. Nobody else was allegedly injured in the accident.
Police continue to search for the driver responsible for the collision.
