The driver of the involved vehicle collided with the pedestrian in the number one westbound lane. After the crash, they stopped and remained on scene until emergency responders arrived.
The pedestrian, identified as an adult male in his 20s, was severely injured in the accident. He was rushed to a local hospital and remains in critical condition.
