According to California Highway Patrol, they received the call around 7:30 p.m. and rushed to the intersection of Butler and Clovis, where they discovered that the driver of a Ford Explorer did not stop at a red light. This caused the Ford to slam into a Honda Accord, whose driver was making a left turn on green. A Honda CRV somehow became involved in the collision as well.
Paramedics and several other responders were dispatched to the scene following the collision. Two people inside the Honda sustained injuries and were rushed to Community Regional Medical Center. The driver of the Honda and the driver of the Ford complained of minor surface injuries and are expected to be okay.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes at the intersection for some time.
