A pedestrian lost their life in a fatal accident that happened in Modesto on Monday night. According to a KCRA report, the collision happened at an unknown time on Crows Landing Road near the area of Hatch Road on the night of August 28, 2023.
When Modesto Police arrived on scene, they found that the accident initially involved two vehicles, which collided on Crows Landing Road due to reasons that are still being investigated. One of the vehicles then went up onto the sidewalk, striking a pedestrian who was walking in the area.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene to help but the pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead on scene. Nobody else was injured in the accident.
All southbound lanes of Crows Landing Road were closed in the area while police investigated.
Modesto Police Department officials continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
