A cyclist was badly hurt after a hit-and-run collision with a vehicle over the weekend in Fresno. KFSN-TV reports the tragic accident occurred around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night on Palm Avenue near the intersection of Fountain Way on October 16, 2022.
Fresno Police say they responded to the scene after a report of an injured man in the roadway. Officers arrived to determine the rider had been struck by a car while riding a bike. The victim was taken to the hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
The driver involved did not remain on the scene. Police are now looking for a suspect in the hit-and-run bicycle collision. They don’t know of any witnesses to the accident at this point, but they are checking into the possibility surveillance video was taken by nearby security cameras.
