On April 11, 2022, just before noon there was a terrible collision in Merced County, California. The crash occurred northeast of Planada on Highway 140.
According to the Merced Sun Star, California Highway Patrol responded to the crash and believe a driver on Cunningham Road failed to stop at a stop sign and drove his 2016 Volkswagen into the highway where it collided with a 2018 Audi. The Audi rolled and the drivers from both vehicles were seriously injured. Both drivers were flown to hospitals in the Modesto area.
