A man riding a recumbent-style bicycle was tragically hit and killed by a motorist in Fresno Wednesday afternoon. KGPE-TV reports the accident occurred just after 1:30 p.m. near Woodward Park.
Fresno Police say a truck driver proceeding southbound on Friant Drive turned westbound onto Audubon drive and struck the man on the bike. They say the victim was a male in his 50s. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
Fresno Police Investigators continue to work to determine the circumstances that led to the truck’s driver hitting the cyclist.
