Dangerous Nighttime Accidents on Mayer Avenue in Kern County CA

Rural roads across Kern County can prove dangerous for motorists, especially as the light fades in the evening. Drivers at night can become more inattentive to the road and are more prone to lose control of their vehicles and end up on the path of other motorists.

The resulting collisions can cause drivers and passengers to suffer fractured bones, brain injuries, and even internal organ damage. In the most tragic cases, human life can be put at risk by the injuries suffered.

Seeking Help for Victims and Families After a Kern County Accident

For the families of car accident victims, it can be difficult to focus on the future wellbeing of close relatives after such a heartbreaking loss. However, close family members should take action to ensure their loved ones don’t face financial trauma after an accident caused by someone else’s mistake.

A spouse, domestic partner, and sometimes children or the step-children of the victim can file a wrongful death claim on behalf of the family. This civil claim provides a means to secure financial support from an at-fault driver’s auto insurance coverage.

A wrongful death claim seeks to get help with ambulance and paramedic fees and burial costs. A claim also attempts to secure the family in the years to come when the deceased can no longer provide guidance or financial support.
