Seeking Help for Victims and Families After a Kern County Accident

For the families of car accident victims, it can be difficult to focus on the future wellbeing of close relatives after such a heartbreaking loss. However, close family members should take action to ensure their loved ones don’t face financial trauma after an accident caused by someone else’s mistake.

A spouse, domestic partner, and sometimes children or the step-children of the victim can file a wrongful death claim on behalf of the family. This civil claim provides a means to secure financial support from an at-fault driver’s auto insurance coverage.

A wrongful death claim seeks to get help with ambulance and paramedic fees and burial costs. A claim also attempts to secure the family in the years to come when the deceased can no longer provide guidance or financial support.
