Certain sections of Fresno are not properly designed with the safety of pedestrians in mind. This lack of safety features is especially dangerous at night when people on foot must proceed without proper street lighting and sometimes without a crosswalk provided.
Under such unsafe conditions, motorists are required to show a “duty of care” to pedestrians due to their defenseless condition whenever they must brave the rush of traffic at night. When motorists don’t exercise this due caution to protect those on foot they can be held accountable for accidents and injuries.

Assistance for Victims After Fresno Pedestrian Accidents
Pedestrian victims go through so much in a collision and afterward during recovery. The physical pain and emotional trauma of an impact and the sometimes long recovery time can be overwhelming. That’s not to mention the cost for care involved in weeks or months of healing time. These expenses can be enormous and no pedestrian victim should have to face them alone.
A victim or a family member is permitted to file a claim for damages against an at-fault driver’s auto insurance provider to secure financial compensation for their hardships. This support would include assistance with every cost of recovery already incurred and those expected in the future. The lost wages a victim suffers while out of work should also be fully reimbursed.
