Driver in Pickup Truck Killed After SUV Runs Red Light in Visalia
A two-vehicle collision at an intersection in southern Visalia claimed one life and sent a woman to the hospital early Wednesday morning. KFSN-TV reports the accident took place just after 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Mooney Boulevard on April 21, 2021.
Visalia police say the woman driving a Honda SUV west on Walnut ran a red light at the intersection and t-boned a Chevy Colorado pickup traveling southbound on Mooney. The truck’s driver died on the scene. The woman in the SUV was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
Officers do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. Their investigation continues.
