People who travel Bakersfield on foot are often asked to move about at extreme risk to themselves. They often must walk near four and five lanes of traffic while navigating a city with few crosswalks, and in places, no sidewalks at all.
These dangerous conditions combined with distracted drivers who aren’t always paying attention to the lanes in front of them can easily result in a tragedy. These are real dangers that Bakersfield authorities document every year. In 2018, 137 pedestrian collisions occurred in the city and that number jumped to 153 cases in 2019. Sadly those 2019 incidents included many tragic outcomes. 16 pedestrians lost their lives in 2019 and another 149 victims suffered an injury.

The news of a lost loved one will devastate a family and will make getting back to normal life impossible for a long time to come. When these tragic circumstances arise, families will be face emotional and financial difficulties and will wonder how justice can be found for the deceased.
Families may struggle after losing the financial and emotional support the loved one provided. The cost of a funeral service and burial can be overwhelming.
