Fresno County, CA — On Thursday, October 15, 2026, a woman and two children were injured after a collision that sent one of the vehicles into a ditch, according to KSEE/KGPE.
The California Highway Patrol responded to a call regarding an accident at Millerton Road and Auberry Road near Millerton at approximately 12:45 PM.
According to investigators, the crash took place between a sedan, which had been traveling south on Auberry Road, and a pickup truck. The two reportedly collided as the pickup truck was attempting to turn left.
The impact sent the sedan, driven by an unidentified woman with two minors as her passengers, into a nearby ditch. The driver received transportation via airlift to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. The minors were sent to Valley Children’s Hospital.
Neither the adult male driver of the pickup truck nor his passenger, a child who was riding in a backseat car seat, sustained injuries in the crash.
No further details regarding the accident or what may have led to it have been reported at this time. CHP investigators have not stated whether drugs or alcohol may have contributed to this crash.
A collision that resulted in the deaths of two elderly women also took place at or near Millerton Road and Auberry Road on July 23, 2026.
Fresno County Truck Accidents and Personal Injury Claims
California law operates on the principle of comparative negligence, which holds that liability in an accident may be distributed among multiple parties. Investigators will analyze evidence at the crash site and take witness statements in order to determine liability, which is not an all-or-nothing proposition.
If negligence on the part of the pickup truck driver contributed to this accident, the driver of the sedan may have grounds for a personal injury claim, which can provide compensation for her medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages related to the crash. If her own negligence also played a part, any settlement may be reduced proportionally.
The minors riding in the sedan could have grounds for personal injury claims regardless of how liability is shared between the drivers. A driver’s liability insurance covers passengers as well as those outside the vehicle.
