July 25, 2026, Visalia, CA: One person was critically injured in a motorcycle collision that took place at a Visalia intersection on Saturday night.
According to Visalia Stringer, the accident happened at 9:41 p.m. at the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Giddings Street. Police confirmed that a sedan was traveling eastbound on Walnut when the driver made a turn into the Best Buy parking lot. They turned right in front of a westbound motorcycle, causing the motorcyclist to slam into the vehicle.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene. The motorcyclist sustained critical injuries in the accident. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the sedan was not hurt and remained on scene.
Visalia Police later discovered through their investigation that the driver of the sedan was driving under the influence at the time of the accident. They were arrested.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
