June 19, 2026, Bakersfield, CA: On Friday morning, a woman was hospitalized following a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in Bakersfield.
According to KGET, the accident occurred at 1 a.m. at 3600 California Avenue. Police confirmed that a woman was walking in the area when she was struck by the driver of a vehicle who fled the scene. She was located lying in the eastbound lanes of traffic.
Paramedics and numerous other responders helped the woman. The woman was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Her current condition is not yet known.
Police are still searching for the driver responsible for the accident. Their investigation continues.
