June 9, 2026, Porterville, CA: A fatal hit-and-run pedestrian crash took place at an intersection in Porterville on Tuesday night.
According to Porterville Stringer, the accident happened at 9:14 p.m. at the intersection of A Street and Olive Avenue in Porterville. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was walking in the area at the intersection when they were struck by the driver of a passenger vehicle. The driver then fled the scene of the accident.
The pedestrian was badly injured as a result. They were tragically pronounced dead soon after the collision occurred due to their injuries.
Police eventually found the suspect involved in the accident. They were arrested and booked into SCDF.
