Sacramento, CA – On the morning of Monday, May 11, 2026, a collision with a vehicle left a motorcyclist in critical condition, according to FOX40.
The Sacramento Police Department reports that the accident took place just after 10:30 AM at Northgate Boulevard and Bridgeford Drive.
Authorities said the motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Driving under the influence does not appear to have been a factor in the collision.
Northgate Boulevard was closed in both directions from Sotano Drive to Haggin Avenue while officers investigated the crash before reopening later in the afternoon.
No additional details regarding the identities of those involved or the circumstances surrounding the collision had been released at the time of reporting. The investigation remains ongoing.
Personal Injury Claims & Comparative Negligence
Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s comparative negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility. Should evidence reveal that another party contributed to the injuries, victims may be eligible to file a personal injury claim with the responsible party’s insurance, which can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.
