April 1, 2026, Bakersfield, CA: On Wednesday morning, a man was struck and killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in Bakersfield.
According to KGET, the accident occurred in the morning hours at 1300 Manor Street just south of East Norris Road. Police confirmed that 39-year-old Urbano Murillo Jr. was walking in the area when he was struck by a vehicle headed southbound. The driver fled the scene without stopping.
Murillo was tragically pronounced dead on scene as a result of his injuries.
Police did not say if they found the driver responsible for the collision as of yet. Their investigation into the accident continues.
