Car Crash into Fresno Home at West Ashlan, Marks Ave Injures 2

Fresno, CA – On the afternoon of Monday, March 9, 2026, a single-vehicle collision left two people hospitalized after a car crashed into an apartment building, according to KSEE.

The Fresno Police Department reports that the accident took place around 1:20 PM at West Ashlan and Marks Avenue.

Authorities said the driver appeared to have lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway and struck an apartment building, causing significant structural damage. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, where a resident who had been inside the apartment at the time of the impact was found uninjured. Utilities to the building were shut off by crews as a precautionary measure following the collision.

An older man and his granddaughter, who were occupants of the vehicle, were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. The extent of the building damage prompted an assessment of the structure by responding crews. The cause of the crash has not been determined, and the investigation remains ongoing

Ongoing Investigations

Victims of traffic accidents and their families should be aware that authorities may fail to note or even misinterpret critical evidence at a crash site. One of the services that a Personal Injury Attorney can provide is to pursue follow-up investigations, which can reveal additional evidence to correct any errors made by previous investigators.

Personal Injury Claims

When the actions of reckless drivers cause others to be injured, the cost of recovery should not fall on their victims. Filing a Personal Injury Claim with the at-fault party’s insurance can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.
