February 5, 2026, Fresno, CA: A teen was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident on a Fresno highway on Thursday.
According to Your Central Valley, the accident occurred in the early morning hours on Highway 99. Police confirmed that a 17-year-old was walking along the northbound lanes when he was suddenly struck by the driver of a Toyota Tacoma truck. The teen was struck so forcefully that they were propelled further onto the side of the road.
Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures on the teen. However, they were tragically pronounced dead on scene due to their injuries.
The driver of the Toyota was not injured and remained on scene.
