Manteca, CA – On the afternoon of Tuesday, February 4, 2026, a 17-year-old boy sustained serious injuries after a collision involving an off-road dirt bike and a big rig in Manteca, according to ABC10.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident occurred shortly before 5:00 PM at the intersection of Main Street and Yosemite Avenue. 

The teenager was traveling southbound on Main Street while operating an off-road dirt bike when a semi-truck turned westbound onto Yosemite Avenue. The maneuver resulted in a collision between the two vehicles.

Emergency responders arrived and found the teen briefly trapped beneath the semi-truck. Fire and medical personnel conducted an extrication and transported him to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities stated that the teenager suffered serious injuries to one of his legs.

Officials confirmed that the dirt bike involved was an off-road motorcycle not registered for street use. The 27-year-old driver of the semi-truck was not injured. Police said the circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
