January 28, 2026, Bakersfield, CA: A two-vehicle collision with injuries occurred on a highway in Bakersfield on Wednesday evening.
According to California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 5:33 p.m. in the southbound lanes of SR-99 around Ming Avenue. Police confirmed that a blue Honda sedan and a gray Toyota collided with each other in the area due to reasons that remain under investigation.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties was reportedly injured in the collision. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.
