Granite Bay, CA – On the morning of Saturday, November 29, 2025, a two-vehicle collision claimed the life of a Granite Bay man and left a Roseville woman injured, according to KCRA, with additional reporting from CHP Fatal.
The CHP Fatal reports that the accident took place around 8:29 AM near Eureka Road and Farschon Place.
Officers said a Ford Mustang and a Chevrolet Tahoe collided, resulting in fatal injuries to the Mustang driver, who died at the scene despite emergency response efforts.
The woman driving the Tahoe was taken to a hospital and was believed to have suffered moderate injuries, authorities said.
CHP noted that the crash caused major damage and blocked the roadway for several hours while crews worked to clear the scene and begin the investigation.
Authorities added that it remains unknown whether alcohol played a role in the incident, and drivers were asked to avoid the area during the response.
Wrongful Death Claims & Comparative Negligence
Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility.
Should someone else be found even partly responsible for the death, the family may be able to file a Wrongful Death claim against the at-fault driver’s insurance. This can provide compensation to help cover medical bills, funeral expenses, and the loss of income to support the family of the deceased.
