Lamont, CA – On the rainy afternoon of Monday, November 17, 2025, a rear-end collision left two drivers hospitalized with injuries, according to KGET.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the crash occurred around midday on Di Giorgio Road, just west of San Diego Street. 

Initial evidence suggests that a Toyota Corolla, occupied by two women, was traveling eastbound at a slow rate of speed because of heavy rainfall when it was struck from behind by a Dodge Charger. Investigators say the force of the impact caused the Corolla to overturn before coming to rest on the roadway. 

The Dodge Charger continued moving north and ultimately came to a stop on nearby railroad tracks. Emergency personnel transported both drivers to Kern Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.

Authorities noted that DUI is not considered a factor in the crash.
