November 4, 2025, Fresno, CA: One person was tragically killed in a fatal pedestrian accident at a Fresno intersection on Tuesday night.
According to Your Central Valley, the collision happened at 11 p.m. at the intersection of Herndon Avenue and Polk Avenue. Police confirmed that a male pedestrian was walking across the road when several vehicles didn’t see him. They swerved to avoid him but one struck him. The driver remained on scene and said they didn’t see the pedestrian until it was too late.
The pedestrian, identified as 34-year-old Whallen Johnson, was found lying responsive when emergency responders arrived on scene. He was tragically pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.
No further details have been released. Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
