Fresno, CA – On the morning of Monday, October 20, 2025, a 12-year-old girl was injured after being struck by an SUV while riding her bicycle to school, according to KFSN.
The Fresno Police Department reports that the crash occurred shortly before 8:00 AM near the intersection of Olive and Millbrook avenues in central Fresno. Officers responded after receiving multiple calls about a child trapped beneath a vehicle.
Investigators said the girl was hit by the SUV as she rode her bike, and one of the vehicle’s tires rolled over her. Several nearby residents and good Samaritans rushed to help, using a jack to lift the vehicle and free her before paramedics arrived.
Emergency medical personnel treated the girl at the scene before transporting her to Community Regional Medical Center for further evaluation. Authorities said she suffered bruises but remained conscious, able to stand, and was talking with first responders.
Police confirmed that the driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The Fresno Police Department continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
