October 5, 2025, Bakersfield, CA: An alleged DUI driver crashed into a home on Saturday in Bakersfield, leading to injuries to one person inside.
According to Bakersfield Now, the collision happened at 1900 Gage Street in the early morning hours. Police confirmed that 22-year-old Thomas David Gonzales Jr. lost control of his vehicle, crashed into the home of Madison Leeann Desrochers. Then, he fled the scene of the accident. A neighbor chased him down and detained him until police arrived on scene.
Madison sustained minor to moderate injuries as a result of the accident. She is also unable to live in her home for the time being.
Police arrested Gonzales for felony DUI, causing injury, and hit-and-run.
