September 21, 2025, Fresno, CA: A child tragically lost their life in a fatal pedestrian accident involving a truck in Fresno on Sunday afternoon.
The accident, according to Your Central Valley, occurred at 4 p.m. on Highway 99 around the area of Cesar Chavez Boulevard. Police confirmed that a truck was headed south on Highway 99 and started to get onto an exit. While doing so, approximately ten children were playing near the ramp. The driver attempted to avoid the children but ended up hitting a 10-year-old boy.
The 10-year-old boy sustained serious injuries and emergency responders performed CPR on him before he was transported to a hospital. He was tragically pronounced dead while there.
No further details have been released at this time. Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
