August 17, 2025, Lemoore, CA: A woman tragically lost her life in a Lemoore intersection accident and has now been officially identified by police.
According to Your Central Valley, the accident happened around 11:15 a.m. on Sunday at the intersection of 17th Avenue and Lacey Boulevard. Police confirmed that a woman was headed west on Lacey in a Hyundai Santa Cruz and approaching the intersection. A driver in a Ford Mustang went through the intersection, which is when both vehicles collided. The Hyundai collided with the driver’s side of the Mustang. From there, the Mustang went off the side of the road and into an orchard.
The driver of the Hyundai was rushed to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Mustang, now identified as 21-year-old Marisa Gomez, was taken to the hospital with major injuries. She was tragically pronounced deceased while there.
No further details have been released at this time. Police continue their investigation into the collision.
