Lindsay Police Pursuit Leads to Accident with Injuries at Avenue 216 and Road 232

August 9, 2025, Lindsay, CA: An accident involving two Lindsay police officers took place at an intersection following a pursuit on Saturday night.

The accident, according to ABC30, took place at the intersection of Avenue 216 and Road 232 around 8 p.m. in Lindsay. Police confirmed that an accident involving two officers took place following a police pursuit. The incident happened while officers were pursuing the driver of a BMW SUV. The officers were traveling at high speeds in their patrol vehicle when it was involved in a collision with an uninvolved Toyota Tundra that failed to stop at a stop sign.

Police claim that the driver of the Tundra did not stop even though the patrol vehicle’s lights and sirens were activated at the time. Both vehicles rolled over as a result, sustaining severe damage.

The driver of the Tundra had to be removed from their vehicle by emergency responders. He was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries. The two officers were also hospitalized with moderate injuries.

Police have since confirmed that the driver of the Tundra is suspected of driving under the influence. It is not known what came of the pursuit.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
