Fresno, CA – On the evening of Monday, August 4, 2025, a female pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital after being struck by a vehicle in what authorities suspect may have been a DUI-related incident, according to KSEE.
The Fresno Police Department reported that the accident took place at the intersection of Channing Avenue and Florence Avenue shortly after 8:00 PM.
Upon arrival at the location, officers found a woman at the scene who appeared to have sustained injuries consistent with a broken leg. She was treated on site by emergency medical personnel before being taken to a medical facility for further evaluation and care.
The driver of the involved vehicle was located by officers in the immediate area. Authorities noted that the individual is currently suspected of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No names have been released in connection with the incident.
