Modesto, CA – On the night of Friday, July 18, 2025, a motorcycle collision resulted in fatal injuries to Joseph Ditko, 44, of Riverbank, according to The Modesto Bee.

The Modesto Police Department reports that the crash took place around 11:00 PM at the intersection of Claus and Milnes Roads.

According to a preliminary investigation, Ditko had been riding a motorcycle northbound on Claus Road when a pickup truck, traveling southbound on the same roadway, attempted to turn left onto Milnes Road. 

During the turn, the truck entered Ditko’s path and collided with the motorcycle. Emergency responders arrived shortly after the impact and transported Ditko to a nearby hospital, where he later died as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash.

Police stated that the driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated fully with investigators. No additional injuries were reported. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and authorities are reviewing witness statements and available evidence to determine the full circumstances.
