Tambo, CA – On the evening of Friday, July 11, 2025, a head-on collision killed Puneet Singh Sohi and Premjeet Brar, both 41, and seriously injured four others, including two children, according to KCRA.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 5:15 PM near the intersection of Highway 70 and Boyer Road, north of Marysville.

Authorities say a Toyota traveling southbound on Highway 70 lost control and veered into the northbound lanes, crashing into a Honda occupied by Sohi, Brar, and two children. Sohi, the driver of the Honda, was pronounced dead at the scene. Brar, the passenger, was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

A 4-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl in the Honda were seriously injured and taken to area hospitals. The boy was reported to be in critical condition, while the girl’s injuries were also described as serious.

The Toyota was occupied by an 18-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, both from Brentwood. Both sustained serious injuries and were hospitalized.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. It is not yet known whether alcohol or drugs played a role.
