Fairfield, CA – In the early hours of Sunday, July 13, 2025, a four-vehicle collision resulted in injuries to eight people, according to KRON.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 3:10 AM on the eastbound side of Interstate 80 near the Cordelia weigh station, just south of Solano Community College.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported eight individuals to nearby hospitals by ambulance. According to CHP, the injuries ranged from major to minor, though none were considered life-threatening. The names and ages of those injured have not been released.

All lanes of I-80 were temporarily closed for approximately 25 minutes as first responders worked to treat the injured, remove the vehicles, and clear the roadway. One lane was reopened by 3:40 AM, and full traffic flow resumed shortly after.

Authorities have not yet determined the exact cause of the crash. The investigation is ongoing as officials review evidence and interview those involved to understand what led to the collision.
