Sacramento, CA – On the afternoon of Sunday, June 22, 2025, a head-on collision between a car and a Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT) bus resulted in multiple injuries, according to KCRA.
The Sacramento Fire Department reports that the crash took place just before 4:30 PM near the intersection of Marconi Avenue and Arcade Boulevard.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and confirmed that seven individuals were involved in the incident.
Two people who were in the car were transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Additionally, four people on the bus, including the bus operator, sustained injuries and were also taken to the hospital.
Three other bus passengers were evaluated on scene but did not require hospitalization. Authorities stated that no life-threatening injuries have been reported.
According to Sacramento Regional Transit, preliminary information suggests the vehicle swerved into the path of the bus, resulting in a head-on collision. Both vehicles sustained significant front-end damage.
Sacramento police officers are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the crash and whether any citations or charges will be filed.
